UPPERCASE Converter

Turn mixed or lowercase writing into full capitals in one click. Useful when a form, style guide, or design calls for every letter to be loud and clear. The conversion keeps numbers, emoji, and punctuation exactly where they are.

RUSH THIS PARCEL TO GATE B BY 5PM

How the conversion works

Every letter becomes its capital form. Spaces, numbers, emoji, and punctuation stay put, so “Order #42 🎉” becomes “ORDER #42 🎉”. Accented letters follow standard Unicode uppercasing (for example café → CAFÉ). Unlike pressing Caps Lock while you type, you can transform an entire pasted block after the fact without retyping a single word. Every alphabetic character is raised; nothing else is rewritten or reordered.

When UPPERCASE helps

All caps work for short labels, legal disclaimers, warning banners, or matching an existing UI kit. Long paragraphs in capitals are harder to skim and can feel like shouting in email or chat, so prefer title or sentence case for body copy. If you only need environment-variable style names, CONSTANT_CASE adds underscores between words after uppercasing. Short banners and status chips are common homes for this style; long essays rarely are.

Practical tips

Skim for meaning first: converting removes the visual cue of proper nouns. Keep a plain copy nearby if you still need the original casing for citations. After converting, use Copy or Download, then paste into your design tool, CMS, or spreadsheet. If you need readable prose afterward, sentence case or Title Case is usually a better next step than staying in full caps.

Frequently asked questions

Does UPPERCASE change numbers or symbols?

No. Digits, spaces, emoji, and punctuation are left unchanged. Only letters are converted.

What happens to accented letters?

They are uppercased with the same Unicode rules as JavaScript String#toUpperCase, so characters like é become É.

Can I undo a conversion?

Yes. Use Undo in the tool bar to restore the previous text. Your text never leaves the browser.

Is my text uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent over the network.
